The best time of year to marry in Thailand

The Andaman coast — Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak — is driest from November to April. The Gulf side is different: Koh Samui and Koh Phangan often have their wettest weeks between late October and December, exactly when the west coast is at its best.

Inland it changes again. Chiang Mai is at its finest from November to February, but March and April can bring haze. Khao Yai is cool and clear in the same winter window.

Green season is not a write-off. Rain usually arrives in the late afternoon and leaves within an hour, the landscape is dramatically greener and venue rates drop. What matters is not avoiding rain — it is having a Plan B that is as good as Plan A.
