How to read a Thai wedding venue before you book it

Every venue looks good in its own gallery. What you are actually buying is a covered alternative, a kitchen, a power supply, a noise curfew and a team, and none of those appear in the photographs.

Ask what happens if it rains at 16:00. A usable answer includes a specific covered space, its capacity, whether it is air conditioned and how long the changeover takes. "We have a backup" is not an answer.

Ask about the noise curfew and whether it applies to live music, amplified sound or both. Beachfront and residential-adjacent properties often stop amplified sound earlier than couples expect.

Ask what is exclusive. Some resorts run two weddings a day, or hold your ceremony beside a pool that stays open to other guests. That is not always a problem, but it should never be a surprise.

Ask who from the venue team will actually be present on the day, and whether they speak the languages your guests speak. The site visit charm of a sales manager is not the same as the operations team on a Saturday night.
