01
Small is not simple
With twelve guests, every detail is visible. The table, the food and the officiant matter more than the scale of the flowers.
02
Small is not simple
With twenty guests every detail is visible, so the food, the seating and the pace matter more than the scenery. We plan an intimate wedding like a long dinner party with a ceremony in it.
03
What moves the cost
Per-head costs fall, fixed costs do not. Sound, flowers, photography and coordination cost roughly the same for twenty guests as for sixty, which is worth knowing early.
Questions
What couples ask us
- What is the smallest wedding you plan?
- Two people. An elopement with a photographer and a celebrant is a complete wedding as far as we are concerned.
- Can we still have a Thai ceremony?
- Yes. A small Thai ceremony with a handful of family members is one of the most moving versions of it.
- Do small weddings need a planner?
- Not always, and we will say so. Where a planner earns their fee is language, contracts and the day itself running without either of you managing it.
