Samui feels like an island in a way Phuket no longer does. It suits couples who want a barefoot wedding with real comfort behind it, and it works particularly well for groups of 20 to 80.

Samui is compact enough that guests stay close to everything, yet still has genuine private beaches. The island keeps its own rhythm, and a whole wedding weekend can happen within a fifteen minute drive.

The northeast around Choeng Mon and Bophut is calm water and soft sand; the south and west give you the big sunsets. Many villas sit directly on their own beach.
