Pattaya is underrated for weddings. Two hours from Bangkok, strong hotel infrastructure and prices well below the islands.

Pattaya is close to Bangkok and priced accordingly. Behind the reputation there are quiet headland resorts and islands that photograph nothing like the town centre.

Budget-conscious weddings, short trips, and Thai family celebrations where most guests drive in for the day.

Choose the quieter southern end — Jomtien, Na Jomtien and Bang Saray — rather than the centre.
